TamaraPaints365 – Day 1
I am starting a personal challenge to do one painting a day for a year to improve my skills and challenge myself to be more spontaneous in my subject matter. Sometimes it may overlap the Columbus project, since I love it here so much.
Yesterday was Day 1! Wish me luck!
TamaraPaints Columbus – Dillingham Street Bridge
I am really excited because those cool notebook peeps I told you about last week (Notes Notebooks) created a custom painting book for me with watercolor paper to hold up to my adventures. Having the proper paper makes a huge difference!
This was painting on the curved steps off the Chattahoochee Riverwalk (behind the CSU theater). Pictured is the Dillingham Street Bridge and the railroad bridge beyond. I am really loving this new book! PAINT ALL THE THINGS!
New(ish) Project: Tamara Paints Columbus
I decided to start an art journal filled with art from my city. Here is what I have so far. My goal is one to two new illustrations a week. These were done in a Notes Blank notebook. I am happy to support a small local business so if you wanna check them out click here.
First I had to decorate the cover. I am using #TamaraPaintsColumbus on social media. It’s on the bottom of the cover too, just not in the picture.
The first illustration was done at Iron Bank Coffee.
Back in December we had a candlelight flash mob, so that is where this illustration came from.
Next was the Uptown Fountain – it is located on Broadway between 10th and 11th Streets.
Finally I have the adorable kid in the rain statue at the corner of 9th and Broadway, I believe. Might need to double check that location.
